Cyborg

The development of technology has brought artificial intelligence closer and closer to people. When robots gradually enter the cognitive level of people and possess human learning ability, cognitive ability, judgment ability, and even emotion, have we become one creature? Technology is no longer cold, but has the unique emotions and intelligence of a human being; human’s emotions are no longer purely subjective, but have some technicalized aspects. It is difficult to predict what this situation means in the future, but it seems to be an irresistible trend, bringing people a kind of progress or chaos, we do not know. I hope to explore this trend through this project.

Research

I explored different image sources such as cosmo, aura, robots.

Process

Final Outcome

I chose to fuse two different art mediums into one project: non-digital and digital. I used colored pencils, pens, pencils, charcoal and acrylic to depict the objects, Those mediums are effective in highlighting both color and line, Then I created the background with digital art, because it is more effective in establishing a futuristic atmosphere to the viewers.

Mixed Media

In depicting non-humans, I explored people in skeleton, tendon, galactic, metallic, and infrared people. Then I portrayed the unique human emotions by depicting lovers and holding hands. Although their bodies have become non-human, they still possess human emotions. I hope to represent a sense of integration.
