In the current Internet environment, it is common to see people follow the trend of public opinion and the main theme, echo what others say, and are unwilling to express their disagreement. People seem to be losing their own voices and thoughts. I hope to create this reality through AR in order to awaken the people who are lost in an environment filled with fragmented information and dominated by the mainstream.

I drafted different ideas about the theme of ocean and data.
Material
I experimented with printing images I took in my life on transparent film and sticking on the window. I used the technique of film printing, so the images’ tone will transform with the intensity of the sunlight. I wanted to show the lost of precious moments of our real life.
Idea Development
I decided to create an AR room filled with waves that are composed of countless fragments of information. In addition, I wanted to incorporate the elements of those new medias such as TikTok videos that are taking away our time and attention, preventing us from stopping to take closer look at our real life.

When people walk to my TikTok video in the environment, pictures that I took in my life will appear after the TikTok is played. This expresses the concept about how those everyday moments are being hidden behind these short videos. For us, these moments and details in real life can no longer be seen because we don't have the time to stop and observe our lives in detail.
The scene was exported as an APP on the phone. I named this APP Infocean, a combined word made up of “information” and “ocean”. People can use their phones to visualize themselves in the 3D scene I created and be able to walk around to experience what this new reality feels like.
Process
This is a predicted view of the future in which people are deeply immersed in the information waves, drifting with the wave just like how people follow the main trends and voices in society without expressing their own opiniones.
