A full-scale brand identity for TartanHacks 2026, presented by CMU ScottyLabs and attended by over 1,000 participants. As Director of Design, I led the team in translating the theme Mosaic into a playful, recognizable world across digital, environmental, and physical touchpoints.

TartanHacks 2026 explores Mosaic—a world shaped by fragments, shifting perspectives, and ideas assembled through collaboration.
We created a visual language that was inspired by the unfinished nature of experimentation: translucent tiles overlap, colors refract, and fragments shift into new compositions. Rather than presenting technology as polished and complete, the identity celebrates ideas while they are still being formed.

Across screens, spaces, and physical materials, the system connected every moment into one shared experience.

Apparel, stickers, and other event materials brought the brand into participants’ hands.

Building the experience together
This was a truly memorable experience for me, leading the design team and collaborating with organizers across events, outreach, tech, and finance. Bringing together different perspectives and countless behind-the-scenes efforts made an event of this scale possible!
