This project redesigned the book The Metamorphosis with the goal of creating a creepy reading experience to go along with the book's plot.

The book The Metamorphosis is a story about a man who one day finds himself transformed into an insect.

Interior Layout Design
For the interior, as the text progresses, some sentences begin to overflow the standard boundary, and the tracking and spacing become random. Later, the text undergoes more dramatic transformation, and I used the text as well as the negative space to illustrate the shape of an insect. I hope to create an uncomfortable reading experience to correspond to the story.

Project Deliverable
Book Design
I distorted the title into the shape of an insect. I also used individual letters scattered around to represent small insects, subtly conveying an uncomfortable impression. The back flap of the dusk jacket will be viewed only after reading the whole book. So I straightforwardly added a real insect silhouette.
